What to expect on SUNDays
Holy Trinity welcomes all.
Parking is available on Poplar and Walnut streets and in the Municipal Parking Structure a block away at Walnut and Main Streets. You will be greeted at the door by members of the parish eager to make you feel at home. Inside, an usher will give you a bulletin that contains everything you need to follow the service.
There are no expectations for how anyone worships. At various points during the service, people will be asked to stand or kneel. We want you to do whichever makes you more comfortable. We believe that Jesus Christ would not care what your posture is during the service, what you wear, or if you have a small child who makes a little noise. The service includes children of all ages.
We gather together, sing hymns, listen to readings from scripture and a sermon, offer prayers to God on behalf of the world and the Church, and break bread together as we share communion. At Holy Trinity, we invite all people who are so moved to come to the altar to receive communion. Jesus wouldn't have turned anyone away and neither do we.
We hope that you'll join us for worship on a Sunday morning, If you visit, you will be warmly welcomed, but you won't be singled out, or asked to stand. We want you to feel comfortable and to participate in the service as much or as little as you like. If you have questions, just ask one of our greeters or introduce yourself to the priest. We hope to see you Sunday!
