In the Loop

At the height of COVID, the idea of a group of knitters and crocheters gathering to work on their individual projects and enjoying time together came up. From meetings originally taking place via Zoom, the group has transitioned to an in-person gathering in the Community Room.

Recognizing how other parishes used this ministry, we decided to make prayer shawls for people who were experiencing life problems or illness as well as those celebrating joys such as the birth of a grandchild. To date we've given 77 prayer shawls to parishioners, family members of knitters and friends--all in need of support.

This is a group that enjoys fellowship with one another the second and fourth Thursday of the month. While we have made a lot of prayer shawls, members also work on other individual projects. If you don’t know how to knit or crochet, we’re happy to teach you!

Meetings: In person, 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the Community Room.
